This is for aimed towards people in Santa Cruz county, but the rest of you may be interested as well in case they come to your area next.

Parts of Monterey county have been sprayed. Next month most of Santa Cruz county will be sprayed. Everyone I have talked to is against this spraying. Spraying for what you ask? A moth. According to ….well someone who is most likely making a lot of money, there is an apple moth terrorizing this area. I live in this area and have yet to see one. Anyway, “they” decided that it is so bad that they are going to spray most of Santa Cruz county with a chemical to kill this bug. I know what you are thinking, they will just spray the areas where the bug has been seen. If you were thinking that you would be wrong. They are spraying everywhere, residential areas, schools, parks, farms, organic farms, and everywhere in between. They already sprayed in Monterey but didn’t tell them about it and they got mad, so they decided to let us know, and we are still mad. We got a packet in the mail from the people doing the spraying trying to convince people that spraying is a good idea. Didn’t work on me though, seems like spraying people is a bad idea no matter what. So I signed a petition, hopefully more people will do it as well.
