For those of you, like me, that missed free Ben and Jerry’s scoop day yesterday today you get another chance. Baskin Robbins isn’t giving away free ice cream but tonight from 5-10pm you can get it for only 31 cents per scoop. There is a limit to only 10 scoops each so those of you wanting more then that are out of luck.

In my class we were reading the story The Little Red Hen this week. Today we had all the kids act out all the things that the hen does, we planted seeds, watered them, pretended to cut down wheat and grind it up. Then we went and got warm bread out of the oven. We were all sitting around eating the bread. I finished my piece and leaned back in my chair. One of the little 4 year old boys looked over at me and said “Wow! You are so full!”

it just isn’t right

i know it isn’t right, and i tried to do something about it but i couldn’t

without giving too much detail I will tell you what is going on then ask for your opinion

the fence behind our house was falling over. the fence is about 20 years old. the hoa had someone out to give a bid on a new fence. they also said there needed to be a retaining wall. the hoa would pay for the fence and we would have to cover the retaining wall. they gave us the bid from the guy they brought out. we told them that we would like to hire our own person to do the wall since we would have to pay for it. they decided to schedule the guy to do both anyway. he started this morning. we never said ok…go ahead…we approve or anything close to that. we have never even seen the bid, just heard about it. yet they are out there now building a wall that we are supposed to pay for. i told the contractor that we didn’t authorize the wall but he could do the fence. he said they are all one piece and they have to be built together and he was hired by the hoa to do the job.
