Has it really been a month already?

Tyler is 1 month old today, and is currently sleeping the longest he ever has in his entire life. It has been 5 hours since he ate last. Usually he eats every 3 hours. I should be sleeping now too, but I keep thinking that it wouldn’t be worth it since he will probably wake up any second. I have been thinking that for the last 2 hours.

Tyler is a growing boy, which probably comes from eating every 3 hours, although I don’t know how much he weighs or his current length. I should really find that out to put in his baby book. I should start writing in his baby book. He started out bigger then Caleb but I think that he is gaining weight faster then Caleb did. Tyler is starting to watch people and things more, and if you are lucky you can get him to smile. He does not like wet diapers…well wet cloth diapers, disposables don’t seem to bother him as much. He already likes to be on his tummy, so maybe we will have another early crawler like Caleb was. He is fine with the bath until you start washing him, then he isn’t too thrilled about it, but he likes to lie in the warm water.

Caleb is still excited to be the big brother and tells everyone that looks like they might want Tyler for themselves that “he is ours, we get to keep him.” So far there has only been one time when he didn’t think that having a baby around was a good thing. He was watching TV and Tyler woke up and was crying. Other then that the baby is fine to have around. Caleb loves to help out and do whatever he can.

The 2 of them were playing on the floor the other night. Tyler was lying down and Caleb came next to him and was talking to him. I was in the kitchen just keeping an eye on them when I saw them actually playing together. Caleb put the pacifier in Tyler’s mouth and then Tyler would spit it out, then Caleb put it right back in and Tyler spit it out again. Tyler was watching Caleb the whole time and was calm and happy the whole time. He didn’t complain when Caleb put it in his mouth and if Caleb didn’t put it back in right away he wasn’t mad about it. It is so fun to watch the 2 of them together.

Tyler has had a good first month, he has been to the Boardwalk, the mall, the beach, on a hike and more. Although he keeps us busy, we try hard to keep him busy as well. Getting him used to our crazy busy life as soon as possible. There are a bunch of pictures on our website and more on my flickr site.
